If small children will play, read the section on rods. On most large tables the rods stick out on the other side and can hit a child in the face.

How to choose foosball tables
Weight
Weight is the best indicator of quality in foosball tables. A light table slides and shakes when players pull the handles hard. Specialist dealer Kickerkult recommends at least 80 kg if four adults play. In our selection, Leonhart and Bandito reach that mark, and TUNIRO and Buckshot come close at 75 and 70 kg.
Through or telescopic rods
Through rods stick out of the cabinet on the opposite side when a player pulls the handle. Telescopic rods have an internal mechanism, so they don't. Garlando explains that telescopic rods protect small children from being hit in the face and eyes. Leonhart itself warns in its listing that the rods stick out on the other side. Of the seven tables, only the Garlando 2in1 Mini has telescopic rods.
Playfield and ITSF
The ITSF is the international table soccer federation. Its list of official tables includes Bonzini, Leonhart, Tornado, Garlando and Roberto Sport. The Leonhart Leo Pro Sport is certified as an ITSF "2nd Competition Table". Kickerkult gives typical playfield sizes of 111.3 x 68 cm to 120 x 68.5 cm, a 20.5 cm goal and a table height of about 88 cm. Balanced players stay horizontal even when you let go of the rod.
Indoor or outdoor
An indoor table must not stand outside. Garlando says it should not be exposed to the weather, even under a canopy. Outdoor tables have laminate instead of glass so water can't get under the playfield and cause mould. In our selection, only the Garlando G-500 Outdoor is made for outdoor use.
Space
Foosball tables with handles measure about 140-145 x 120-135 cm, but players need room to swing behind the handles. Kickerkult gives an average of about 3.5 x 2.5 metres for a tournament table. That is a dealer figure; we found no manufacturer figure.
Assembly and delivery
With cheaper foosball tables you assemble everything yourself. The Bandito arrives unassembled with tools, and Leeds buyers describe fitting the playfield corners as fiddly. The TUNIRO comes with a pre-assembled cabinet, so you only fit the legs and rods. Tables of 70-80 kg ship by freight, so check in the basket that the seller delivers to your country before ordering.
1. TUNIRO Basic
Photo: TUNIRO, Amazon
The TUNIRO Basic is our pick for most homes. For 499.99 euros you get a table of about 75 kg with balanced players, tournament-size 20.5 x 8 cm goals and BTFV certification (according to the listing). According to the listing, the playfield is 24 mm MDF with raised corners, and the cabinet walls are 25 mm.
The rods are hollow chromed steel, 15.9 mm in diameter, in sliding bearings with a metal sleeve. The handles are natural rubber. The cabinet comes assembled, so you only fit the legs and rods. Two 35 mm balls and a DVD are included. The listing gives two different table sizes, 137 x 120 x 93 and 144 x 120 x 96 cm.
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Weight | about 75 kg |
| Playfield | 24 mm MDF, raised corners |

| Players | balanced |
| Goals | 20.5 x 8 cm |

Pros: balanced players, tournament-size goals, pre-assembled cabinet, BTFV certification.
Cons: sliding instead of ball bearings, hollow rods, inconsistent dimensions in the listing.
Our opinion: Balanced players and tournament-size goals mean you can learn real technique on it. If you want something more serious than a toy but don't need a tournament table, the TUNIRO is the best middle ground in our selection.
2. Leonhart Leo Pro Sport

The Leonhart Leo Pro Sport is a real tournament table. Leonhart is one of five official table makers on the ITSF list, and this model is certified as an ITSF "2nd Competition Table" and licensed by the German federation DTFB. According to the listing, the playfield is 111.3 x 68 cm, the table is 92 cm high, and it weighs 80 kg with 31.5 mm walls.
It is handmade in Bavaria. The rods are through rods, and Leonhart itself warns that they stick out on the opposite side. The listing doesn't mention bearings, balls, score counters or assembly.

Pros: real ITSF tournament table, 80 kg and thick walls, made in Germany.
Cons: most expensive in the comparison, through rods dangerous for small children, the listing gives few details.
Our opinion: For a club, company or player who goes to tournaments, this is the same kind of table used in competition. For family fun it's too expensive.
3. Bandito Profi Soccer Deluxe

The Bandito Profi Soccer Deluxe is the cheapest 80 kg table in the comparison: 350.00 euros. According to the listing, it has 36 mm walls, solid 16 mm steel rods in ball bearings, and solid wood legs of 12.5 x 12.5 cm with chrome bracing.
The players are individually screwed on, so they can be replaced, and two spares are included. It has score counters and drink holders at both ends and four balls. The table arrives unassembled, with tools and instructions. Dimensions including rods are 140 x 134 x 88 cm.

| Size | 140 x 134 x 88 cm |

| Price | 350.00 € |
Pros: 80 kg at a mid-range price, solid rods in ball bearings, spare players and four balls.
Cons: you assemble the whole table yourself, solid rods are heavier for children's hands, indoor only.
Our opinion: For a garage or basement where adults play, this is the most mass for the money. Plan an afternoon for assembly.
4. Garlando G-500 Outdoor
Photo: Garlando, Amazon
The Garlando G-500 Outdoor is the only table in the comparison made for outdoor use. According to the listing, the cabinet is a 30 mm weatherproof bonded multilayer board with a melamine coating, and the playfield is weatherproof laminate with lines printed in UV- and moisture-resistant ink. The playfield is 120 x 70 cm.
The rods are chromed, rustproof, 16 mm in diameter, in stainless steel ball bearings. In the version with professional rods (PR), they are through rods. The players are moulded onto the rod, and the legs are height-adjustable. The listing does not state the weight and warns that the table is not for children under 6.
| Feature | Detail |
|---|---|
| Use | outdoor and indoor |
| Playfield | laminate, 120 x 70 cm |
| Cabinet | weatherproof, 30 mm |
| Rods | 16 mm, rustproof, ball bearings, through |
| Size | 145 x 125 x 88 cm |
| Legs | height-adjustable |
| Age | 6 and up |
| Price | 1,159.00 € |
Pros: a real outdoor table from a brand on the ITSF list, rustproof rods in ball bearings, laminate stops water getting under the playfield.
Cons: expensive, weight not stated, through rods.
Our opinion: For a patio or a garden by the pool, this is the only table in the selection that may stand outside. Garlando says it withstands moisture and rain if maintained according to the instructions.
5. Buckshot Master League
Photo: Buckshot, Amazon
The Buckshot Master League is a mid-range table of about 70 kg for 299.95 euros. According to the listing, it has an MDF cabinet with 36 mm walls and a 118 x 68 cm playfield, close to tournament size. The table measures 141 x 77 x 89 cm.
The rods are hollow chromed steel, 15.9 mm in diameter, in two-piece plastic sliding bearings. It has built-in score counters, four drink holders and a ball return. The legs are steel and adjustable. Two balls are included, and the warranty is two years, but not on bearing wear.

| Equipment | score counters, 4 drink holders |
| Size | 141 x 77 x 89 cm |
| Balls | 2 |
| Price | 299.95 € |
Pros: 70 kg and thick walls for 300 euros, score counters and drink holders, playfield close to tournament size.
Cons: sliding bearings only, only two balls, little manufacturer information.
Our opinion: If the Bandito is out of budget and the Leeds too light, the Buckshot is a sensible middle. For four adults it's still on the light side.
6. GAMES PLANET Leeds
Photo: GAMES PLANET, Amazon
The GAMES PLANET Leeds is the cheapest full-size table in the comparison: 199.99 euros. According to the listing, it has an MDF cabinet with stabilisers under the playfield, hollow 15.9 mm steel rods in sliding bearings, chrome score counters and two drink holders. It measures 140 x 73 x 87 cm and comes in six colours.
The listing gives the weight as about 60 kg in the title and 55.4 kg in the technical table, and the ball count as two or four. The legs are adjustable with rubber feet. Buyers describe fitting the playfield corners as fiddly. The manufacturer warranty is two years.

| Equipment | score counters, 2 drink holders |
| Size | 140 x 73 x 87 cm |
| Colours | 6 |
| Warranty | 2 years |
| Price | 199.99 € |
Pros: lowest price for a full-size table, decent weight for the price, six colours.
Cons: sliding bearings and simple players, fiddly assembly, contradictory data in the listing.
Our opinion: For school-age children and occasional adult games, this is enough. If you plan garage tournaments every weekend, get a heavier table.
7. Garlando 2in1 Mini-Kicker
Photo: Garlando, Amazon
The Garlando 2in1 Mini-Kicker is a table for kids. It measures 97 x 51 x 20 cm and goes on a table or the floor, and the other side of the board is air hockey. It is the only one in the comparison with telescopic rods, which according to Garlando don't stick out on the other side and are safe for children.
Garlando rates its kids' models for children up to about 10-11 years. The box includes two foosball balls, two pucks and two pushers for air hockey, plus assembly tools. It has score counters on both sides. It weighs about 15 kg according to the packaging figure.

| Weight | about 15 kg |
| Rods | telescopic |
| Games | foosball and air hockey |
| Equipment | 2 balls, 2 pucks, 2 pushers, counters |
| Age | up to about 10-11 (Garlando) |
| Price | 132.34 € |
Pros: telescopic rods safe for small children, two games in one, Garlando quality.
Cons: not a free-standing table, too small for adults, contradictory weight data in the listing.
Our opinion: For small children this is a safer choice than a large table with through rods. When they grow, move on to the TUNIRO or Bandito.
Conclusion: which foosball tables to choose?
For most homes the best choice is the TUNIRO Basic at 499.99 euros, with balanced players, tournament-size goals and a pre-assembled cabinet. For the most mass for the money, the Bandito Profi Soccer Deluxe; for tournament play, the Leonhart Leo Pro Sport. Among foosball tables for outdoor use, only the Garlando G-500 Outdoor qualifies, and for small children choose the Garlando 2in1 Mini with telescopic rods.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between telescopic and through rods on foosball tables?
Through rods stick out of the cabinet on the opposite side when a player pulls the handle. Telescopic rods have an internal mechanism, so they don't. Garlando recommends them for any table where small children play, because the end of a rod can hit a child in the face or eye.
How much should a good foosball table weigh?
Dealer Kickerkult recommends at least 80 kg if four adults play, because a lighter table slides and shakes. The Leonhart and Bandito weigh 80 kg, the TUNIRO about 75 kg, and cheap tables like the Leeds about 55-60 kg.
How much space do foosball tables need?
A table with handles is about 140-145 x 120-135 cm, and players need room to swing behind the handles. Kickerkult gives an average of about 3.5 x 2.5 metres for a tournament table. For smaller rooms there are mini tables for kids.
Can a foosball table stand outside?
Only if it's made for outdoor use. Garlando says indoor tables should not be exposed to the weather, even under a canopy. Outdoor tables have laminate instead of glass so water doesn't get under the playfield.
At what age can children play foosball?
It depends on the table. Garlando's kids' tables with telescopic rods are for children up to about 10-11, and the Garlando G-500 Outdoor is not for children under 6. For small children, choose telescopic rods.
Is assembly difficult?
With cheaper tables you assemble everything yourself: the Bandito arrives unassembled, and buyers describe the Leeds as fiddly. The TUNIRO comes with a pre-assembled cabinet, so you only fit the legs and rods. Heavy tables ship by freight.
How we tested
For this comparison we chose foosball tables by weight, rod and bearing type, playfield, intended use (indoor or outdoor) and price. We reviewed 14 tables available on Amazon.de and checked every ASIN through Amazon's API. Data comes from the manufacturer descriptions in the Amazon listings and from Garlando's website, because the Leonhart, TUNIRO and Sportime websites weren't working when we checked. Where the listing contradicts itself, we give both figures. We left out the Sportime Dragon Steel (about 1,439 euros, 100 kg) because its price is close to the Leonhart without ITSF status, the Garlando MasterCup because its listing gives both 75 and 80 kg, and the compact Bandito BigFun (about 185 euros, 21 kg). Prices are live Amazon.de prices from 30 October 2026. We did not physically test the tables.
